Information on the modification of the schedule of Treasury bonds’ redemptions in the domestic market
Ministry of Finance informs about the modification of the monthly schedule of domestic bonds' redemptions within a year. Modified principles will apply to new bond issues. The following principles will be introduced:
1. Increase by two of the number of possible maturity dates (months) within a year for Treasury bonds denominated in PLN, while the sufficient liquidity of each bond series will be ensured and the current redemptions profile will be taken into consideration.
2. Bonds' maturity months will be as follows:
- January, April, July and October – fixed rate and zero-coupon bonds,
- May and November – floating rate bonds,
- remaining months – other bonds, including inflation-linked ones.
3. It is possible that some of the potential maturity dates will remain unused in case of low amount outstanding of individual bond series.
4. The timing of introducing the above mentioned changes will depend on the current amount outstanding of individual bond series.
