    Information on movement of arms and ammunition

    Import and export of arms and ammunition by foreigners may take place on the basis of:

    a)      a certificate issued by a Consul of the Republic of Poland. The certificate substitutes an arms license for the period of 30 days (from the day of the import of arms and ammunition),

    b)      a European Firearms Pass (by foreigners who are citizens of the EU Member States) issued by an EU Member State on the condition that:

    -        the arm is listed in the European Firearms Pass,

    -        a traveler is able to justify the reason for traveling with arms and ammunition.

    Foreigners arriving into the territory of the Republic of Poland may import and export:

    a)      weapon for hunting proposes and ammunition for such a weapon in a quantity that does not exceed 100 pieces, on the condition that the weapon and ammunition is going to be used for hunts organized on the basis of separate provisions,

    b)      weapon for sports purposes and ammunition for such a weapon in a quantity that does not exceed the quantity indicated by the organizers of a sports event in an invitation to such an event, on the condition that the traveler is going to take part in a sports event which requires the use of such a weapon. Invitations to such events must be confirmed by a Regional Police Commander.

    c)      flare weaponson the condition that they are elements of vessels and aircrafts.
