List of the European Commission Communications concerning the HS Committee Sessions, starting from 19 Session, published till now

The European Commission draws up a list of the decisions taken by the Harmonized System Committee (HSC) of the World Customs Organization (WCO) on the basis of its Session report.

The list is taken by the Customs Code Committee in accordance with Article 12(5)(a) of the Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92. Then the European Commission in accordance with Article 12(2)(a) Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2454/93 prepares a Communication to be published in Official Journal series C (Information and Communication). The list contains amendments of the Explanatory Notes of the Nomenclature annexed to the HS Convention and the Compendium of Classification Opinions, approved by the Customs Cooperation Council (CCC).

According to the Communication Binding Tariff Information ceases to be valid from day of its publication if it becomes incompatible with the interpretation of the customs nomenclature as a result of the following international tariff measures: amendments to the Harmonized System Explanatory Notes and the Compendium of Classification Opinions, approved by the Customs Cooperation Council.

Member States are required to verify its BTIs on the basis of the list. Państwa członkowskie na tej podstawie zobowiązane są do weryfikacji wydanych przez siebie WIT-ów. This is to update EBTI database and removal all invalid BTIs.
